When you don't have a "plan" for future, you use "will"                       

Examples:                                                                                              

Ted will play in the leaves in the fall. He won't pick apples                 

Will Ted play in the leaves?       Yes, he will                                          

Wil Ted go skiing in the fall?     No, he won't.                                     

What will Ted do in the fall?     He'll play in the leaves.
